MY FAVORITE AVEDA PRODUCTS (SKIN CARE EDITION):

Hi everyone, today I want to talk to all of you about my favorite Aveda Skin Care products! Ever since the first day of attending the Aveda Institute Denver I have made many product purchases and changes to my hair and skin care routine! Most of you are familiar with Aveda's reputation for all natural based products, and I am all for that route. The natural ingredients are one of the main reasons why I chose to attend Aveda! I have many products to share so let's jump right into it!
SKIN CARE:
I have to start off with the Green Science Line, it has done amazing things for my skin! When you look at the skin care lines be sure you find the right Aveda line for YOUR skin type! I have normal skin and can sometimes get dry, I took the quiz and followed the charts to determine what line was best for me! If your interested in finding your skin type, I will add the link at the end of this article!
As I always say, "Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize." It's a major part of keeping a clear complexion. In the Green Science line is the "Perfecting Cleanser." This cleanser is a milky, soft, and gentle that removes makeup, dirt and excess oils. This cleanser is made of Organic argan oil and it comes from the nut of the fruit of the argan tree, which grows in Morocco. What I personally love about the cleanser is how lightweight it is and you only need at most two pumps! Make sure to use lukewarm water and be sure to wash your hands before touching your face.
The Green Science Replenishing Toner is the next step to your routine. Using a cotton pad use about a nickel size amount of toner and make sure to apply all over your face. This toner minimizes pores, exfoliates gently, and also contains aloe leaves a thin veil of moisture on the skin. The exfoliant is naturally derived salicylic acid and glucosamine and the main ingredient again is the organic argon oil. I like how this toner doesn't dry out my skin and it removes any extra makeup and dirt from my skin.
The last step is moisturizer, the Green Science Firming Face Creme really follows it's title. A little goes a long way for this moisturizer and truly does leave your face fresh through the day and the night time. I usually use as much as I need for the day or night. This Moisturizing creme helps smooth fine lines and improve visible skin firmness, with catcus extract and organic argan oil. It includes anti-oxidants, murumuru seed butter and organic shea butter and argon oil.
I have also used the other Green Science products, "Lifting Serum" and "Firming Eye Creme." The lifting serum boosts natural collagen and lifts the face naturally. Ingredients used bio-fermented glucosamine, organic argan oil, anti-oxidants and peptides. The Firming Eye Creme helps moisturize, smooth fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness. These ingredients include Lady's thistle, organic argan oil and cactus formula, peptides and plant-derived buckwheat wax. I obviously am not old enough to notice a big difference in face firming and wrinkles, but I have always been told you are never too old to start using anti-age products!
Overall I have seen an overall improvement in my skin and it has helped avoiding acne. The whole line overall is expensive, yet has lasted me a few months and truely does it's job. I find the Aveda Skin Care line on the top of my list because of the natural ingredients, that's the only thing you want near your face after wearing makeup all day and getting dirt and oils on your face! Before cleaning your face you usually want to remove your makeup as much as you can before cleansing. I have fallen in love with the Aveda Pure Comfort Eye Makeup Remover. This Makeup remover mainly focuses on your eye makeup, but I have found using it as a full face remover has worked so well! The ingredients in this remover include, certified organic eyebright cucumber and camomile-clear. It's very gentle on the skin and really does remove your makeup in a gentle way! You can use a cotton pad but I use the Aveda Shammy Cloth! The shammy cloth is another new product I have fallen in love with! It's a soft and gentle facial cloth that can replace your cotton pads or facial towels! I love this product so much because a couple swipes does remove your makeup and it doesn't irritate my face! When you have used it for multiple uses you simply throw it in the wash and it's good as new! I highly reccomend this Aveda product!
Every other day, or when I can I love to refresh my face with a face mask! The Aveda Outer Peace Cooling Masque is one of my favorites! It soothes and calms your skin, helps with redness and iritation! ingredients include: A blend of pure plant extracts-including tamanu, amla, boswellia and saw palmetto-infuses, aroma of certified organic lemon tea tree and rose geranium. It's a green pigment and is very heavy and isn't chunky, it also removes easily when dry!
